I have been wanting to scream this from the mountain top: ADOPTIONS ARE REALLY STARTING TO HAPPEN IN PANAMA!!!!
You can't understand how exciting this is for us. When we first came to Panama 2 1/2 years ago, hardly ANY children were being adopted. None of the abandoned or abused children's cases were being worked in a proper way and it was a sad, sad situation. All those children that could have been adopted were instead growing up in orphanages due to the lack of response of those in power. BUT THEN, things have started happening recently. We have been praying for years and doing everything we can to help the process with the new government. And now kids are being freed! Whoo-hoo! We are thrilled beyond words. I can't tell you enough how exciting and thrilling this is for us. PRAISE THE LORD! It truly is a miracle. I honestly started to doubt that it would ever happen, but the Lord knew and thankfully He never gave up even when I wanted to. This is such awesome news! I am shouting it from the only mountain top I have :)
